The first Wimborne Win on Waste session will be run during the Care for our Common Home Minster Eco Fair on Saturday 14 October from 10.30am to 3.30pm at Wimborne Library. There’s a prize for the person bringing the most items on the day.

The first Wimborne Win on Waste session will be run during the Care for our Common Home Minster Eco Fair on Saturday 14 October from 10.30am to 3.30pm at Wimborne Library. There’s a prize for the person bringing the most items on the day.

Donations of waste from 27 people are now helping 9 good causes. Newspapers were the top item with a total of 22 bags and three bags of towels are on their way to the CRASH hedgehog hospital in Canford Heath.

We received donations from 59 people at Canford Heath Win on Waste on Saturday 9 September. Thanks to them 11 good causes are benefitting. The top item to be donated was newspapers – 25 carrier bags of them which will help the fundraising efforts of Dorset Community Foundation.

The 23rd September sees the launch of Oakdale Win on Waste at Oakdale Library between 10.30 and 12 noon.

Donations were received from 74 people at Broadstone Win on Waste on Saturday 2 September. Thanks to all the items 10 good causes have benefitted and a lot of people have slimmer bins!
Numbers may have been down – perhaps because of the lovely summer weather, but we still received plenty of donations and through these have helped 11 good causes! One of our Recycling Ambassadors, Barbara, shows off some of the items:

Donations were received from 57 people at Canford Heath and 33 at Creekmoor on Saturday 12 August. And they weren’t just from Dorset. Milk bottle tops and other items have been donated by people as far afield as Kent, Devon and Lincolnshire. Seven lucky good causes are benefiting.

It was all go at Broadstone Win on Waste on Saturday 5 August. Two new Recycling Ambassadors, Steph and Yvonne joined Vikki and between them they sorted through donations from 66 people – a record! Items will benefit 6 good causes.

5th: Broadstone 10-11 Broadstone Library
12th: Canford Heath (10-11 Coffee House Cafe, Adastral Square) and Creekmoor (11.30-12.30 Creekmoor Library)
26th: Westbourne (10-11 Westbourne Library)
There are no sessions in Southbourne or West Howe.
Donations from a record-breaking 51 people were received at Westbourne Win on Waste on Saturday 29 July. The following good causes will benefit from receiving them, Poole Hospital Scanner Appeal, Forest Holme Hospice, Ideas2Action, Gift of Sight, Research into Brain Tumours, WWF Poole Volunteer Group and the Dorset Scrapstore.
