Westbourne Win on Waste takes place at Westbourne Library on Saturday 24 March from 10-11am.  Please bring along any of the following items….

• Aluminium foil (Poole Methodists)
• Yoghurt pots—any size – (Oakdale Library)
• Bubble wrap (Oakdale Library)
• Ring pulls from drinks cans (Purple Community Fund)
• All empty packaging of any make of beauty products including roll on deodorants and facial wipe packets (Ideas2Action)
• Tassimo coffee discs & packaging (Poole Hospital Scanner Appeal)
• Stamps (Naomi House Hospice)
• Milk bottle tops (Gift of Sight)
• Biscuit wrappers—any make or variety of sweet biscuit (Ideas2Action)
• Dried up biros, felt tips, highlighters, board markers, mechanical pencils or empty tip-ex bottles (Ellie’s Fund -research into brain tumours)
• Cleaning product items: pumps, sprays, disinfectant wipe packets+ personal wipe packets (e.g. Andrex) and washing up liquid tops (Ideas2Action)

Donations of scrap metal and aluminium donated at Win on Waste sessions on Saturday 17 March are off to help Poole Methodists Redevelopment raise funds for the renovation of the Spire in Poole so they can improve facilities for the community.

Donations were received from 49 people at Southbourne Win on Waste on Saturday 17 March at the Close Knit Yarn Cafe.  Donations of milk bottle tops didn’t just come from Dorset, there were even donations from an ASDA in Birmingham, and West London and Kent!  All donations are helping 8 good causes with the milk bottle tops going to benefit Gift of Sight.

Because of the adverse weather all Win on Waste sessions on Saturday 3 March are cancelled.

Hamworthy, Livability Holton Lee and Wimborne will not be running an alternative session in March, so the next date will be Saturday 7 April.  There may be a session in March in Broadstone but this has not been confirmed yet.

If you live in Broadstone and want to donate then the next session nearest to you will be  Canford Heath (Coffee House Cafe, Adastral Square 10-11) or Creekmoor (Creekmoor Library 11.30-12.30) on Saturday 17.

If you live in Hamworthy then you can donate at Turlin Moor on Thursday 29 March 9-12 St Gabriel’s Church.
