Contributions were received from 22 households and a WI Group at Ashley Cross Win on Waste on Saturday 27 April at Parkstone Library. 10 carrier bags of items will now be helping 8 good causes.
The Southbourne Win on Waste Team were celebrating another successful session on Saturday 27 April at Southbourne Library. 89 people attended representing 115 individual households and 13 work places/institutions. Approximately 63 carrier bags were received and the donations will be helping 14 good causes.
Numbers were slightly down at Westbourne Win on Waste on Saturday 27 April at Westbourne Library. 16.5 carrier bags of donations were received from 43 households plus three businesses and Bournemouth Library. The donations will be helping 7 good causes.
Lucky Christchurch residents will soon have their own Win on Waste session thanks to a team of volunteers who have come forward to run it. Taking place at Christchurch Library on the first Saturday of the month between 10 and 12, the sessions give local residents the opportunity to save a variety of items from their waste and donate them to help good causes. So if you live in Christchurch and want to do something positive with your waste, then pop along to the Library on the 4th May and find out more.

Ashley Road Win on Waste held at the Co-op in Ashley Road, Parkstone received 33 carrier bags of waste from 48 households, schools and companies on Saturday 13 April. These will be helping 9 good causes. 9.5 bags were coffee waste, closely followed by crisps – 6 bags and milk bottle tops – 4 carrier bags..
Corfe Mullen Win on Waste held at Corfe Mullen Library on Saturday 13 April received 15 carrier bags of waste from 48 households. These will be helping 6 good causes.
35 hospital departments and 105 households donated 45.5 bags of waste to help 8 good causes at Canford Heath Win on Waste on Saturday 13 April at the Coffee House Cafe. Coffee waste topped the list with 9.5 carrier bags, next were aluminium drink cans – 8 and in third place crisps – 6 bags.
35 carrier bags of waste were donated by 160 households and a nursery on Saturday 13 April in Creekmoor Library. These will be helping 10 good causes. Coffee and crisp waste topped the list with 7 and 6 bags respectively.
An amazing 86 carrier bags were received at Broadstone Win on Waste on Saturday 6 April at Broadstone Library. These came from 177 households as well as cafes, schools and clubs. Their donations are helping 12 good causes. Well done the Broadstone Win on Waste Team for all your hard work!
