Canford Heath Win on Waste 9 December
79 people donated items to benefit 10 good causes at Canford Heath Win on Waste on 9 December held at the Coffee House Cafe. Newspapers and milk bottle tops topped the list of items with 16 carrier bags and 13 carrier bags respectively.
Canford Heath and Creekmoor Win on Wastes 9/12
Canford Heath Win on Waste (Coffee House Cafe, Adastral Square 10-11am) and Creekmoor Win on Waste (Creekmoor Library 11.30am-12.30pm) Saturday 9 December. Donate any of the following:
- Unwanted Christmas decorations (Dorset Scrapstore)
- Ring pulls from drinks cans (Purple Community Fund)
- Any empty Garnier beauty product items (Ideas2Action)
- Empty/broken pens, biros, felt tips, highlighters, board markers, mechanical pencils or empty Tippex bottles (Research into Brain Tumours)
- All brands and sizes of air freshener packaging – (plastic bits) and cartridges (for us)
- Aerosol deodorant cans (for us)
- Tassimo coffee discs & packaging (Poole Hospital Scanner Appeal)
- Milk bottle tops (Gift of Sight)
- Biscuit wrappers (for us!)
- Newspapers/magazines/junk mail (Dorset Community Foundation)
- Stamps (Forest Holme Hospice)
- Cleaning product items (for us)
- Tobacco pouches and silver paper and cellophane from cigarette packets (will be sent off and recycled)
Westbourne Win on Waste 30 September
There was another bumper donation session for Westbourne Win on Waste on Saturday 30 September with donations received from 54 people who together have helped 9 good causes with their waste. Janet and Nick show off some of the items.
Win on Waste comes to Parkstone
The first Parkstone Win on Waste took place at Parkstone Library on Saturday 30 September. Donations were received from 16 people all of which are now helping 6 good causes. Another session will take place on Saturday 27 January 2018.
